Remarkable Natural Site of France
The Camargue Gardoise has been awarded 14th “Grand Site” of France.
This label recognizes both; the great heritage value of the site, the quality of its maintenance, the interest preservation project management as well as the planned development for the future.
Obtaining the label is based on the rich natural heritage of the Camargue in the Gard County which includes the tour Carbonnière, marshes and the biodiversity of the site.
From the terrace of the tower, about 3.5 miles from the village, you can experience a unique spectacle of the Camargue wetland; ponds, meadows, marshes, reed beds and exceptional fauna.
