Visit Camargue Bulls herd The bull is undoubtedly the king of the Camargue ... the aim of breeding is to obtain through a rigorous selection THE bulls who assert themselves during the races. Camarguaises races take place in the arenas of the region between mid-March to mid-November. The job of Manadier (breeder) is a job of passion. It is a rough, dangerous life and the reward of which may be after many years; "The Bull" which will become famous and which will make the motto (color) of the manade shine. Some "Carmen" (music that goes off when the bull does a great action in the arena) during a race make your heart beat and bring tears to your eyes. Some will win The Biòu d'or, a trophy created in 1952 which rewards the best Bull of the season. Unselected bulls have a more modest destiny and ensure the viability of farms, thanks to street events (abrivado, bandido, encierro) organized on each festive occasions. Some of these enthusiasts manadier open their doors to you and you can chat with them about their job… Manade Saint-Louis With respect for Camargue traditions, Jean-Claude Groul, more commonly known as "Cancan" welcomes you to Mas de la Paix. He invites you to discover and share his passion, his daily life and therefore; "La fé di biou" (litteraly “Faith in Bull”). It is also the tradition, the life of the gardians and the manadiers, the intimacy and the deep friendship, the joie de vivre of this region that you will discover at the Manade Saint-Louis.
